Map of Michigan's Counties
● Michigan has 83 counties, each with its own county level government.
● Each county has a Republican Party county committee which conducts party business for that county, such as holding conventions, recruiting & training candidates, fundraising, registering voters, and getting republicans elected.
● Wayne is the only county that is different, as they are segmented out based on their Districts, due to population size and do not have a centralized county committee.
● Delegates in a County can serve on the County Committee.
● County Committees are often referred to by an acronym. For example, Oakland County Republican Party is referred to as OCRP.
● Please note that the Congressional District lines and County lines do not always match up. Some Counties are split into different Congressional Districts, and all but 1 Congressional District spans multiple Counties.
