Structure of the Republican Party
· Republican National Committee (RNC/GOP)
● The Republican National Committee (RNC or GOP) is a U.S. political committee. The RNC leads the Republican Party of the United States. The primary responsibilities are to develop and promote the platform of the Republican Party through fundraising, election strategy, and organizing & running the annual national convention.
● The RNC is also referred to as the GOP or Grand Ole Party and was founded in our own Jackson, Michigan in 1854.
● The Michigan Republican Party (MRP or MI GOP) has elected leadership called the ‘State Committee’. The state party is governed by a set of bylaws.
