What to Do Once You’re Elected as a Precinct Delegate?
(Delegates are the life blood of the conservative movement in Michigan. Find a role that is suited to your strengths and passions, then get to work helping the team win!)
● Remember Government begins at the local level when you talk with family, friends & neighbors about the issues important to them and you.
● Civil Discourse happens one-to-one
● Create opportunities to get to know your neighborhood – your Precinct
● Get involved with local events
● Remember only elected PDs get to vote for leadership of the Party
● Make it fun—make it a journey
● There are a lot of serious events going on-no question—but a Precinct Delegates life is about the relationships we build and nurture
● We will grow and improve our party one neighbor at a time and when you talk to three people and they talk to three people, amazing things will happen.
● Some Precinct Delegates step in and raise their hand high
● Some PDs step in and need to walk along side someone else
● Get to know your fellow Delegates! We will hook you up with a Delegate Mentor if you need one.
● From this wide and strong foundation of Precinct Delegates, we have the opportunity to develop into leaders of our party—leaders who may be Activists, Committee Members, Candidates, Elected Officials.
● Find your role. Many hands make light work. We all work hard, work smart, and work together – and we will move mountains!
